With wireless data usage increasing by leaps and bounds, traditional wireless networks in Canada already experience congestion issues and are under extreme pressure as users demand more and more speed and bandwidth in order to consume data the way they want to and where they want to. This also holds true for private/enterprise wireless networks. Shaw recently announced the roll-out of its Shaw Exo WiFi network for its subscribers; a Western Canada-focused WiFi network that delivers on the promises of higher speeds and bandwidth. While Shaw uses this network to extend its subscribers’ home Internet experience, a beneficial result of the coexistence of Shaw Exo WiFi with private enterprise is the alleviation of network pressures that comes with increase consumer demand.

Christian is responsible for the strategic direction and deployment of Shaw Exo WiFi; Shaw’s metro WiFi network. In his role, Christian oversees the successful management of the WiFi program as well as defining the different strategic and tactical elements needed to offer value-add to Shaw’s subscribers.
Prior to joining Shaw, Christian worked at Videotron helping deploy their HSPA+ (3G+) network and its different value-added services in Quebec, as well as at TELUS in their business product management group with a focus on mobile workforce.
